[Proofreader] Rico
« on: April 05, 2018, 02:06 PM »
Age: 18
Country/Timezone: Canada & Eastern Time Zone (UTC -6:00/-5:00)

What projects would you like to PR?
Anything and everything! I have no problem proofreading mature content of any genre if needed.

Do you have any comments on your availabilities or experience as a PR?
Are you currently working with another scanlation team? If so, which one and for what position(s)?

I have no experience as a PR, nor have I worked with any other scanlation team. Iíve always wanted to help in the manga making process since I started reading at the age of 12, however, the task always seemed too daunting. I would love to give back, therefore, I would like to start working as a PR and maybe try typesetting later on!

How did you hear about the Decadence scanlation team?
I was reading one of your projects, Mitsuyokon Tsukumogami no Yomegoryou, and I saw your recruiting flyer on the last page. Once I checked out your forum, I decided I would like to apply since you guys seem super professional and friendly :)

A little about myself!
Education wise, I am a first year student studying Biochemistry. I've worked as a lifeguard and I currently tutor high school math on the side. I'm pretty excited to be working with a scanlation team so I hope I pass

almost forgot but I READ THE RULES

So I just realized I misunderstood the guidelines  :gasp:
The guidelines stated that "Every bubble should be capitalized correctly" but I misinterpreted it as everything should be capitalized... As a result, I crossed out all the original text and rewrote everything in red on the side (which probably makes it harder to see what I changed). Super sorry and I'm willing to redo it if need be! Just let me know, thanks!

Thanks for your interest, Rico!
 :aha:
Please submit the test how you'd like it to be marked. Proper capitalization is something we do check for so keep that in mind. Let me know when you're satisfied with your changes and I'll look over it~

Hey Rico,

Your test file seems to be invalid and I can't open it. Would you try saving it again or perhaps saving as a .doc?

Sorry about that! I've attached it as a doc and a pdf just in case it doesn't work.

Congrats, Rico, you pass!

There are a few things I want you to pay attention to though, so please head over to your training thread (over here). All our recruits go through three or so training chapters before they become full staff, so let's continue there.
